The Japan String Instrument Makers Association (JSIMA) 2017
The Japan String Instrument Makers Association JSIMA is a group organized by makers, restorers, repairers of the stringed musical instruments, together with the corporations in music & musical instruments field in Japan. The instruments we specialize are violin, viola, cello, viola da gamba, bow, classic guitar, flamenco guitar, baroque lute, renaissance lute and mandolin.
The activity of the JSIMA consists of the exchanges of various information, including the research in technical matters for further improvement of the members' artistry.
Over the years, The Japan String Instrument Makers Association (JSIMA) fair has become extremely popular and renowned worldwide. The purpose of the fair is to have visitors to the exhibit look at, play listen to, and learn of what is new from both domestic and overseas manufacturers.
